Introducing South Africa's Paramount Marauder: The World's Toughest Vehicle [VIDEO]

The automobile industry has been riddled with problems in recent months. Some cars are prime targets for hackers while others, most notably Volkswagen, engaged in high-level deception of consumers. However, this does not take the magic out of cars.

In a very real way, automobiles are extensions of the drivers who are behind the wheel. BBC recently reported on the top indestructible vehicles. You may opt for an RV that looks right at home in a warzone. If that is not your thing, however, a Paramount Marauder might be.

When it comes to taking-and riding out-physical abuse, not a lot of cars can make the cut. Quora took a poll and asked uses to share, in their opinions, the most indestructible cars in the world today. When it came to the Paramount Marauder, one user claimed that it is the "single-most indestructible consumer-level street legal vehicle on the planet."

This South African tank is an armored vehicle that weighs a whopping 28,000 pounds. There are two variations, the 4x4 one and the 6x6 option. And just for good measure, the Marauder can survive an 8kg TNT explosion directly underneath it. Useful right?

The Daily Mail UK explored the capabilities of the Paramount Marauder a little bit more. In their report, they listed that the tank, for lack of a more fitting word, uses a 6-cylinder diesel engine. It can go up to 75mph on roads and can most definitely smash through walls.

At the moment, only governments can procure the vehicle but the company has noted that they have received thousands of inquiries from individuals willing to purchase the Paramount Marauder. Who knows though if the company will follow in the footsteps of Hummer and offer eager fans a chance to get a street-legal version of the Marauder.
