Kanye West said that his wife Kim Kardashian and her family are worthy of an Emmy win for their highly-popular reality series, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
"I feel proud to be in a family that has, you know, so many people breaking ground for the generations to come," the 38-year-old rapper stated during a recent interview with SHOWstudio, adding that KUWTK is "so f------- new of an art form," that "my wife and my family should've had plenty of Emmys by now."
Kanye even revealed how he feels that reality stars are not accepted by the entertainment industry, Billboard shared. "Reality shows are considered to be like rap was when the Mondrian [hotel] wouldn't let Run DMC and motherf------- Will Smith stay there because they were rappers," he sustained, adding that he can't hold "the idea of a reality star not being allowed into a fashion show or not being nominated for their show, even if it's the longest-running and the most popular [show]."
It was Ryan Seacrest who produced the reality show which has been on air since 2007 and has been recognized by the Teen Choice Awards. The reality show of the Kardashian-Jenner clan has already generated several spin-offs which include "Kourtney and Kim Take Miami," "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," "Khloé & Lamar," and "Kourtney and Khloé Take The Hamptons," other than the network's latest series "Dash Dolls" which debuted last month.
To recall, Kanye was shown trying to explain to a cameraman how to frame the shot in a recent Season 10 episode of KUWTK. He even revealed during an interview with Hot 97 in November 2013 that he formerly chose not to appear on his family's show because he did not like the way the producers taped some of the shots, Us Weekly shared.
"When we got engaged, I made sure the show was there [filming] because I felt like that was something that would make [Kim] happy," Kanye elucidated of his change of heart in 2013. "Regardless of how it was shot, I felt like this is a moment she would like to have and would like to share, and just have that documented. And we could decide later or not to air it."
