Rosie O’Donnell Daughter Chelsea Blasts Mom In New Interview, Does ‘The View’ Host Go ‘Mommie Dearest’ On Children?

Earlier this year and after only being back for a short while, Rosie O'Donnell left "The View" once more after announcing she'd be divorcing wife of 2 years Michelle Rounds, and it seems things have gone increasingly worse for the actress and TV personality since - including a very unpleasant scandal with Rosie O'Donnell's daughter.

A few weeks back, Rosie O'Donnell's daughter Chelsea (who the star adopted with first wife Kelli Carpenter) ran away from her mother's home in New York last August, going missing for nearly two weeks - but now Chelsea claims she didn't go missing at all, but rather O'Donnell kicked her and her dog out of the house as she neared her 18th birthday.

In a very personal interview with The Daily Mail, Rosie O'Donnell's daughter shared her side of the story of her past couple of months, including how her famous mother kicked her away from her home and Rosie being "not genuine a lot of the times," having two completely different personalities whether she was in public or private.

"I feel she should be her real self, who she really is," said Rosie O'Donnell's daughter, according to Us Weekly. "She has this public persona; she will put this big smile on her face and try to be funny. She would always go up to people and want to hold their babies in public. She had this happy, friendly side to her."

Rosie O'Donnell's daughter also addressed her mother's claim that she was battling mental illness, saying those comments had hurt her and that in fact she went through depression and anxiety, saying she wouldn't call herself "mentally ill" but rather point out that many go through the same thing as her.

As far as Rosie is concerned, E! Online reports that the Emmy winner said that Chelsea's interview was "heartbreaking on every level."

Currently, Chelsea, who's now 18, lives with 25 year-old heroin addict Steven Sheerer, in whose home she was found last August after being reported missing for nearly two weeks; at the time, Sheer was accused of distributing photos of Rosie O'Donnell's daughter with no clothes when she was still a minor.
