Garrett Hedlund of Pan Gets Used to Growing Up - 'That's The First Time I've Said That I'm in My 30s’

The 31 year old  American actor, known for his roles in the film Friday Night Lights - Garrett Hedlund,  has got a feeling of intense longing for his younger years. Hedlund, who portrayed Captain Hook in the most recent adaptation of J.M. Barrie's beloved children's classic Peter Pan, seems to be having a hard time accepting the fact that he's in his 30s.

The Friday Night Light's actor claimed that he's "much more like Hook" than he is Peter, Hedlund said at the NYC premiere of Pan film on Sunday, "There's something about Hook that is really jealous of Peter Pan, because he's young and doesn't grow old and Hook is the opposite and does, and there's this sort of lust for lost time."

Garrett Hedlund, who turned 31 year old last month, admitted that, "I'm now getting into my 30s, and I feel that," then he added looking stunned, "That's the first time I've said that I'm in my 30s."

Garrett Hedlund said that he grew up on a farm and they had only three channels on their T.V., so he had to go to his grandma's house to watch Disney, then the actor added while laughing, "That and Days of Our Lives." Hedlund also said that he didn't grow up with Peter Pan, or a lot of fairy tales for that matter, but the actor got to see it when he grew up, which was better for him.

The Tron: Legacy star said that growing-up in a farm in Minnesota allowed him to enjoy the days relying on his imagination. "Obviously, as a child, my imagination - growing up on a farm - was the only way I survived. When you're not doing chores, you're in nature playing, you're sort of out in the woods playing cops and robbers, building forts and growing your kingdom."

In addition, the Australian actor and producer - Hugh Jackman and Rooney Mara stepped out onto the black carpet at the premiere of their new movie Pan, the premiere was held at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City.

Hugh Jackman and Rooney Mara were joined by co-stars Garrett Hedlund and the Australian child actor - Levi Miller, screenwriter Jason Fuchs, as well as the American reality television personality - Bethenny Frankel, Mariska Hargitay, Camren Bicondova (American actress and model), and Kelly Rutherford was with her 8 year old son, Hermes.
