Lady Gaga 'American Horror Story: Hotel': Countess Elizabeth Role Makes Her Feel Like 'Herself'

In her first major acting role in 'American Horror Story' Season 5, Lady Gaga felt alive and 'like herself' after she has taken the role as the Hotel Cortez's bloodsucking owner, Countess Elizabeth.

As she arrived at the red carpet event in Los Angeles with her fiancé Taylor Kinney, Lady Gaga has openly talked about her experience portraying the character of Countess Elizabeth, adding that the role made her feel like herself again.

"It's been so fun," she said. "Everybody on this cast has been really open and available to me in a very honest way, so I'm able to be myself in a way I feel like I haven't been in a really long time, so they are just making me feel so alive."

Besides calling the new season as Ryan Murphy's masterpiece, the 'Alejandro' singer added that she's just "really happy to be a part of it."

"I like being a part of someone else's vision, it's really exhilarating." she said.

Her co-star, Matt Bomer, who happens to be one of her lovers in the series, praised the 'Queen of Pop' for being so approachable to everybody on the set.

"She's so approachable that she totally just was there for us, by the time the cameras were rolling and we were in a scene together, we weren't thinking about the fact that you were doing a scene with Lady Gaga." he said.

As the rest tries to keep the new season a mystery, Naomi Campbell, who is also one of Countess Elizabeth's lovers and happens to be a newcomer, said "It's never been my thing of speaking before something happens. I kind of find that bad luck."

On Sunday, October 4, Lady Gaga shared her excitement while she was on her way to the AHS premiere night in L.A. She wrote, "Can't believe I'm about to go to my 1st premiere as an actress! I couldn't be more honored to be part of this talented magical cast."

American Horror Story airs October 7, Wednesday at 10 pm ET on FX.
