Gwyneth Paltrow upset authors at the East Hampton Library's 9th Annual Authors Night on Saturday.
The "Iron Man" actress attended the event to promote her cookbook "It's All Good," and the massive attention she received (Photos) upset a few of the authors in attendance.
According to Theage.com, Christina Oxenberg, who was there signing copies of her book "Life Is Short," was upset by Paltrow's appearance and blogged about being table neighbors with the A-list actress.
"Due to the inflexibility of the alphabet I had the questionable good fortune to be seated directly beside Gwyneth Paltrow," Oxenberg wrote on her website, noting that a line for the actress began to form at her table. "The divinity in question arrived with hubby, children, and a couple of massive bodyguards. The worshippers blocked my view of the whole world, abusing my tiny territory upon which to abandon their trash or lean their sorry asses."
Oxenberg, made her feelings for the actress clear when she headed to the food court and made a plate of miniature sloppy hamburgers, and stinky steak sandwiches.
"Gwyneth's bodyguards blocked my re-entry despite my assurance I was a just an author and pointing at my name tag, 'No!' they growled, body blocking me," Oxenberg wrote. "So I was forced to crawl under the table. And there I sat with my meat products, wafting the excellent smells toward my sleek vegan neighbor. She ignored the siren smells of protein."
Oxengerg then preceded slam down the plate of meat on her table in protest of the actress appearance. According to the Los Angeles Times, the 40-year-old actress revealed earlier this year that she not eaten red meat in over 20 years, but has is no longer vegan. Paltrow said she succumbed to eating white meat and fish and avoids red meat and gluten.
Oxenberg was not the only author upset by Paltrow's presence.

"Sex and the City" author Candace Bushnell even got in on the action over social media sharing a link to Oxenberg's blog post.

Oxenberg replied: "@CandaceBushnell I miss you my friend. We must do it together next year, I can change my name to Bushenberg so we can sit side by side."
The New York Times has repeatedly accused Paltrow of collaborating with a ghostwriter on her cookbooks, but the actress has denied the allegations.

Paltrow attended the event with her two children Apple and Moses and husband Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, was also reportedly at the event but declined to be pictured with his wife.
The event was a summer haven for both book-inclined celebrities and stars of the literary world. According to the Los Angeles Times, the event was co-founded by Alec Baldwin and its organizing committee includes bestselling thriller author Nelson DeMille, National Book Award-winning biographer Robert Caro, Orange Prize-winning novelist A.M Homes.
