Ja Rule is gearing up for a major comeback!
In fact, Complex reports that the "Always on Time" MC has been keeping busy on his career since he was released from prison for a 28-month sentence for tax evasion charges, which began in 2011.
Ja Rule is also planning on going on tour with Ashanti - in addition to an upcoming movie! Ja Rule revealed to Billboard:
"Me and Ashanti are about to go on a big world tour... and we're putting together a music and film project with our whole 'Natural Born Killers' tour and EP. It's kind-of like a 'Streets is Watching' type of film. [...] So yeah, we're doing something kind of cool and fun. It's been a long time in the making."
Speaking of the film, Ja Rule says that the plot is a hybrid between the Barbara Streisand starred film "A Star Is Born" and Oliver Stone's 1994 serial killer film "Natural Born Killers."
"It's fictional. It has a musical feel to it, and it also has a street edge. It's going to be fun and sexy," said Ja Rule.
Apparently, prison gave Ja Rule a new perspective on life:
"There comes a time when we've all got to grow up. For me, that was prison. [...] I realized the things I had worked so hard for were slipping away. I had a lot of time to reflect on the things I was doing to contribute to the problems I was having. You can make excuses all day but at the end of the day you have to take a look at the person in the mirror."
Aside from his own new music and teaming up with Ashanti on a couple of major projects, he's also got a TV series coming. It sheds a light on Ja Rule's home life with his wife Aisha Atkins, their three kids, Ja Rule's mother, and his mother-in-law.
The reality series, called "Follow the Rules," is even produced by Queen Latifah. It's also going to debut on MTV on October 26 at 10PM.
Ja Rule net worth is $5 million.
