Oversleeping happens to the best of us, even professionals
Al Roker overslept for the first time in 39 years and missed his 6 a.m. Weather Channel show. Later, the NBC weatherman tweeted about his morning mishap.
"After 39 years it happened. I overslept and missed a show. Missed #WUWA. But will be on time for @today"
The weatherman was due to host his usual slot on "Wake Up With Al" on the Weather Channel Tuesday morning. After missing his morning gig Roker headed over the NBC studio for his second job on the "Today" Show.
Roker poked fun at his own mistake by posting a vine video of himself yawning once he arrived to the set of "Today".The caption read: "Morning, Sleepyhead. So tell me you oversleeping story,' which sparked hundreds of response from his fans.
Co-host for "Today", Savannah Guthrie, could not help herself from teasing her colleague.
"Whoa, You know those people you can set your watch to? The always on time people @alroker *used* to be one of them #oversleeping," she tweeted.
Co-host Matt Lauer posted a picture of Roker looking awake and alert with the caption, "RIP Van Roker."
