Actress Raven-Symone officially admitted she's a lesbian on Friday.
The 27-year-old actress sent out a tweet, that reportedly put a rest to long-held rumors about her sexual orientation.
"I can finally get married! Yay government! So pound of you," the That's so Raven" star wrote. The tweet was referring to to the Supreme Court's June decision to overturn The Defense of Marriage Act.
While the speculation boiled, the actress quickly shot off an email to toofab to formally explain her message and hopefully put an end to the rumor mill.
"I am very happy that gay marriage is opening up around the country and is being accepted," she said in her statement. "I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can, should I wish to."
But this is not the first time the actress's words on social media sites have caught the public's attention.
In 2012, the actress took to Twitter to address the rumors that she was gay. There were rumors that actress was living with her "America's Next Top Model," gay contestant AzMarie Livingston.
"I'm living my PERSONAL life the way I'm happiest. I'm not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I'm dating. And I shall not start now," the tweeted at the time.
"My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I'm dating to know. I'm not one for a public display of my life," she said.
A rep for the actress told E! News he former child star is not getting married and has not plans to. She is just excited to know gay marriage is being legalized all over the country.
"However that is my right as a HUMAN Being whether straight or gay," Raven said. "To tell or not to tell. As long as I'm not harming anyone. I am a light being made from love. And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life. Kisses!"
