Giogio Armani to Keep Owned Label Independently

Giorgio Armani wants to keep the powerhouse label independently owned and controlled by him until such time that he will no longer be  around and cannot manage to handle the company personally.

Giorgio Armani spoke to the Business Fashion  yesterday  September 29, 2015 in his 2016 summer/spring show in Milan, Italy and said ''While I am alive, there will be independence. Soon after, perhaps I will have prepared the ground for a type of independence that is more measured, more controlled.'' 

The founder of the label Giorgio Armani started the company 40 years ago said yesterday that he is undecided as to what will happen to the popular brand when it comes to it's stability in the fashion world once he will die.

He also said ''Being able to choose the light that you like in an office as much as designing an unruly or highly elegant collection, this is independence. But you need means to maintain independence.''

Just recently the fashion designer released "Giorgo Armani" the title of his autobiography wihich features the writings of the icon himself and unpublished images.

He said to WWD about his book ''I tried to pick those images that better represent my life and my professional path, and I also wanted to include unpublished images. I thought of the book as a long sequence of pictures, almost like in a movie, interrupted by notes written in the first person: a constant stream mixing public and private, life and work.''

Giorgio Armani was born in July 11, 1934 and is an Italian Fashion Designer popularly noted for his menswear. Today his designs are popular for the clean tailored lines. He found his company in 1975 and by 2001 he was given the title as the most successful designer that Italy has produced. With $1.6 billion annual turnover and has a $8.5 billion for personal fortune as of 2013.He is also one of the pioneers in the world of red carpet fashion.
