Flavor Flav's Chicken and RIbs Resturant Closes Less Than a Year After Opening

Time has run out for Flavor Flav.

The Public Enemy rapper, received news this week that his restaurant would be shutting it's doors, less than a year after opening.

According to Spin, Flav's last remaining "Flavor Flav's Chicken and Ribs food place was evicted from it's location in the Detroit area of Sterling Heights." Based on the eviction notice, the rapper, whose real name is William J, Drayton, nor have his partners been paying rent.

According to reports, the restaurant's first eviction was in June. But a motion of stay was filed in court to temporarily stop the closure from continuing and allowing the restaurant several more weeks to remain open.

Spin reported, a U-Haul truck was seen emptying out the restaurant, with police on hand to ensure the move went peacefully.

"Don't Believe All The Hype Out There Folks... We Are Not Going Anywhere! In Fact We Are Having Visitors Next Week!! LL Cool j/ Ice Cube/ Flavor Flav W/ His Group Public Enemy and De La Soul Will Be Coming Right Here!!!" he wrote on his Facebook page.

According to the restaurant's official website, guests were able to enjoy everything from BBQ ribs to Belgian waffles and Buffalo wings. The main attraction was their crispy chicken. On the website, the motto read, "Chicken You Crave, Perfected by Flav."

The rapper returned Facebook to ensure his loyal customers that everything was alright.

"No worries we are relocating!!! Stay tuned for our official announcement later this evening!!!" he wrote. "DETROIT WHERE YOU AT?????"

This is not the first Chicken spot to close down for the former rapper. Two previous Flav's Fired Chicken in Iowa and House of Flavor in Las Vegas, both closed within six months of opening.

In April, a casting call was held for a reality show pilot to be shot at the restaurant, but nothing came of it.
