Anna Chlumsky Welcomes Daughter Penelope Joan, 'I Could Hold Her All Day'

Anna Chlumsky and her husband 32-year-old Shaun So welcomed daughter Penelope Joan on July 11 in New York City, according to People Magazine.

"She's a really good mix between my husband and me," the Veep actress told People. "When she's with him, you see him, and when she's with me, you see me. She's a perfect mix."

The actress said she and her husband prepared "for so long" but before she knew it, the baby was here.

"It's seriously the best thing," she told the magazine. "Holding her is fantastic. It's one of the more enjoyable things, it doesn't get boring at all. I could hold her all day."

Anna and Shaun got married in 2008. They announced they were expecting their first child in March. According to Nameberry, Penelope, made famous by the faithful and long-suffering wife in Homer's "Odyssey," derives from the Greek word for "weaver."

"We think she has my mouth, but it's hard to tell. Even the color of her eyes, they are different in different light. But she has a really full head of hair," the actress said.

Chlumsky who shot to fame in the 1991 movie "My Girl," received her first Emmy nomination for her work on Veep.

"I'm still in shock. When I got the call I wasn't sleeping because I was breastfeeding my daughter," the 32 year-old said. "It was neat because it was me and my husband and my daughter all in the room getting the news at the same time. When [my husband] told me. I was that nervous, happy, appreciative laughter' I just laughed a lot! It feels really great have work noticed."
