Nickelodeon 90s Cartoons: New ‘The Splat’ Line-Up OFFICIALLY Including Rugrats, CatDog And Other Millennial Favorite Classic Cartoons!

In a move obviously created to entice the millennial generation to come back to the channel after growing up with Nickelodeon 90s cartoons, Nick has just announced a new block dedicated to their classic programming from 20 years ago, bringing back shows like "Rugrats" and "The Ren and Stimpy Show."

After days' worth of rumors regarding the return of some of Nickelodeon's 90s cartoons and general programming, the basic cable network has now officially announced that the shows that made Nickelodeon one of the children's programming powerhouses of the 1990s will be coming back to their line-up, in a special block dedicated to the decade.

According to USA Today, the programming block dedicated to Nickelodeon's 90s cartoons will be called The Splat, and the company only recently announced it this week, after a weeks-long intrigue campaign under the hashtag #TheSplatIsComing teasing the announcement.

So far, the Nickelodeon's 90s cartoons block will include classics like "The Angry Beavers," "CatDog," "Hey Arnold," "Rocko's Modern Life" and "The Wild Thornberrys."

Vox reports that the Nickelodeon's 90s cartoons block will also include a live-action version as well, with shows like Melissa Joan Hart's "Clarissa Explains It All," "Who's Afraid of the Dark," "Hey Dude," the action-adventure game show "Legends of the Hidden Temple." and the Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell beloved children's program "Kenan and Kel," which catapulted the two actors into fame.

The Splat will also have a heavy presence online, as the entire block will be available to view on its website, and the programming will be depending on viewers' demands, as the block is clearly aimed at an older audience: the timeslot will be between 10pm and 6am, every night.

According to The Washington Post, The Splat is part of a growing new revival of the 90s as a decade, with some of the decade's most beloved shows (such as "Full House" and David Lynch's "Twin Peaks") getting revivals soon.

In any case, Nickelodeon's 90s cartoons block will be premiering on October 5!
