For those who loved the TV series Heroes, this is going to be some great news because it now returns to TV screens as "Heroes Reborn." According to IGN, the show's premiere will air on Thursday showing 2 back to back episodes for two hours.
Producer, Tim Kring, opened up his thoughts about this new breed of Heroes that the audience should watch and that he can't deny the possibility of comparison from the original series, especially from die-hard fans of the show. But they are quite positive that it will create new fans while bringing back the old fans who will fall in love with the story all over again.
The show's plot will pick up where it left off, since the show's cancellation over a decade ago. The lead characters of the show will be known as Evos and the takes place in Odessa, Texas. These characters are considered as humans who have evolved and are hated and targeted by normal people. Since that is the case, they have no choice but to go into hiding, so they won't get in trouble with the government and they won't be attacked by non-evos.
As for the cast, Fox reported that Zachary Levi is now part of it and his role takes a darker turn, as he plays the character of Luke Collins. During an interview with FOX411, the actor said, "My only prerequisite was that I didn't wanna play Chuck again. I wanted to play something that was darker and grittier and edgier and more f**ked up. I just wanted somebody that had some problems."
This is a massive risk for the network because although Heroes was a huge hit when it first came out, the quality of the show eventually became very low to the point that it started to lose its audience, so it was just time that they end it. But NBC took a risk this time and is more confident that this is the Heroes that the people will want and continue to trail after.
