The first trailer of the newest Angry Birds The Movie has been revealed by Rovio and Sony Pictures. A group of very talented actors are lending their voices to the movie that was reversed engineered by Hollywood from being a Smartphone game into a movie.
Game developer Rovio Entertainment chooses to team up with Columbia to make a 3D animated comedy movie even though the Smartphone game Angry Birds earned enough money as the company's bestselling app.
Centering on temperamental Red, voiced by Jason Sudeikis, the film takes what little source material it has to work with and runs with it, creating a sort-of origin story.
The Angry Birds movie will enlighten how the rivalry flanked by the birds and pigs started. As seen in the trailer, many of the birds already have anger management issues, and the appearance of the green pigs will seemingly be the breaking point.
The film also includes Josh Gad as speedy Chuck, Danny McBride as the volatile Bomb, Bill Hader as a green pig, Peter Dinklage as the Mighty Eagle, Maya Rudolph as Matilda, along with voice acting from Keegan-Michael Key, Kate McKinnon, Tony Hale, Ike Barinholtz and many more.
Inclined towards comedy, one YouTube user noted that the trailer was "surprisingly less awful than I was expecting," although another stated: "That...was painful. I do not expect anything good out of this movie."
Angry Birds was one of those frustratingly addictive games that came out just as Smartphone were going mainstream. Many people downloaded the game at one time or another-that's how ubiquitous the game in the mobile world. Each man, woman and child are familiar with the name, and they also know the exasperating feeling of being unable to complete a level.
Hopefully the Angry Birds movie is much more pleasant. The film opens July 1st 2016.
