‘Scandal’ Season 5 Spoilers-Official Release Date and Will Olivia Become First Lady?

The burning question in the minds of Scandal fans now that it is approaching its fifth season, is if Fitz (played by Tony Goldwyn) and Olivia (played by Kerry Washington) will ever get back together. After the network's release of the show's teaser, it is looking like the possibility of them getting back together is high. In the teaser, Fitz was last seen sending out his divorce papers to wife Mellie (played by Bellamie Young).

According to Lations Post, the trailer sort of gave away the answers to all those eager beavers out there. The video shows Olivia in bed with Fitz while the song "At Last" plays in the background, as Fitz is busy with the divorce papers. It can't get any clearer than that.

Den Of Geek reported that Fitz and Liv's relationship is not the only thing that fans can look forward to, but the return of the Gladiators as well. The Gladiators was a group of people who took a break for the past two seasons because they were focused on healing Liv when she was kidnapped last season.

The group somewhat disbanded in a way, as seen the last time, when Abby went on and became Press Secretary of the White House, while Harrison died in season 3's finale. The remaining people who are part of the Gladiators would then have to face the consequences of what they did in the past.

The series' executive producer, Shonda Rhimes, said that a new gladiator will become a part of Olivia Pope's team. There is no confirmation about who it's going to be, but rumor has it that Marcus (played by Cornelius Smith Jr.) is actually up for that part.

Liv's ex-flame Jake (played by Scott Foley) will also be seen in the upcoming season and according to Entertainment Weekly, Rhimes commnts that Jake was not happy about being dumped by Olivia. It looks like fans will be seeing more of this love triangle in the near future.
