The second season of Gotham is about become even more interesting with the all the new villains that are about to come, while protagonists are seemingly being outnumbered. It is going to be a rollercoaster of an adventure for those who are curious to see what's up next for Gotham season 2.
J.W. Cortes told Fox News Latino that the show will be different this time and they will be shaking things up a bit. He continued saying, "It's total anarchy, total chaos." From that statement alone, we won't be surprised to see more action and explosion then, and perhaps some mind tricks and manipulation from some of the villains.
Cortes also said that this season is going to be so much better than the first one. If they loved all the scenes from season 1, then fans should brace themselves to love this season even more. The actor said that viewers will be meeting a lot of traditional villains straight from the comic book.
Gotham's lead actor, Ben McKenzie explained that it has been the plan of the producers for a long time now, but they just were sidetracked with the procedural element that they shouldn't have done in the first place. "We had to introduce a villain every episode, have them commit a crime, have Jim find them, have him confront them, have them sent to Arkham (or) whatever." He added, "It didn't allow, literally, for any screen time to really go through a more complex journey."
There are so many villains in the upcoming season that Den of Geeks called it 'The Rise of the Villains.' Viewers will see these villains become successful in acquiring power and fame that they havr craved for. Erin Richards will now play Barbra Kean, Jim Gordon's ex-flame. It is also safe to say that the show is patterning their story the way it was written in the original comic book.
