How A Football Player Achieved Incredible 135-Pound Weight Loss Without Going Through Drastic Measures

Javon Anderson share his inspiring story, how he lost an incredible 135 pounds of weight without going through drastic measures.

Anderson weighed 330 pounds before, which was his heaviest but then he realized that it is a huge burden on his life. He told ABC NEWS, "It wasn't necessarily a huge problem up until high school. That's when a lot of the weight added on."

When he played football for the Wayne State University, he said that he needed to put on a lot of weight because he was on the defensive line. But in early 2014, he found himself struggling with his weight and he knew right then, he needed to do something about it.

"It began when I was at work and they had a weight loss challenge," Anderson said. "I started to see results immediately so that really kind of fueled me to continue going once I started to see it was possible."

After seven months of dedication and focus he lost a staggering 135 pounds. Now, he weighs 195 pounds and feels much more healthier and happier.

"Once I changed my food and my eating habits, it became a lot easier," he explained. "A lot of it was cutting back my carbs [and] sugars. Instead of doing one or two large meals, five or six portion-sized meals in order to keep my metabolism burning."

He also credits his successful weight loss to a proper workout under the supervision of a professional fitness trainer. He said that he used to workout before but after he joined the fitness program, he realized that he's been doing things the wrong way. He said that the workout routine that was introduced to him worked on his fats and toned his body.

Now, Anderson is hoping that his story will inspire others who are struggling with weight issues since he has proven that it is possible to lose weight in a healthy way.
