Unlike the original character, Jimmy Fallon's own version of Lucious Lyon is not suffering from a chronic illness but only has a his real-life finger injury.

"I've been telling jokes since I was 9 years old in Brooklyn. It was these jokes, these funnies, these 'ha has' that kept me warm at night growing up in the streets," Jimmy told his staff in his best Terrence Howard tone.

"Well, with my finger being in the condition it is, who knows what could happen tomorrow? I could stub my toe. I could bite my tongue. I could burn the roof of my mouth on a hot microwave pizza," he explains.

With his finger injury, he needs to entrust the tonight's show to someone worthy. After discussing his points, Jimmy Fallon then started choosing for the right candidates. His Tariq, Questlove, show producer Andre and Steve Higgins.

Terrence Howard, the original Lucious Lyon then met Fallon wearing the same purple carves and turtlenecks. Howard confronted and told the TV host and actor not to make an Empire spoof.
