Pierce Brosnan Says The Next James Bond Will Be White! Is There A Possibility For A Female 007?

Someone who has played James Bond would probably be the best person who would know who could play 007 in the future. Pierce Brosnan has potrayed the MI5 agent from 1994 to 2005 before handing the role over to the current Bond Daniel Craig, who will appear in 'Spectre.'

However, there have been rumors that Daniel Craig's days as James Bond are almost over. The Press Association asked the former James Bond Pierce Brosnan on who could be the next 007, and whether he could be a different race or gender.

"Anything is possible for sure, but I think he'll be male and he'll be white," Brosnan said. "There's wonderful black actors out there who could be James Bond, and there's no reason why you cannot have a black James Bond."

If there is one good reason to get a black James Bond, it would be this guy:

Despite the recent diss from new 007 author Anthony Horowitz, who said Idris Elba is "too street" to play James Bond, the actor's fans continue to push for him to play the spy.

Although there is a possibility that Idris Elba could be the next James Bond, don't expect a woman to take on the role.

"But a female James Bond, no, I think it has to be male," Pierce Brosnan said. "James Bond is a guy, he's all male. His name is James, his name is James Bond."

This would be bad news for British Labour party leader Ed Miliband, who famously said actress Rosamund Pike would "make a great Bond."

Rosamund Pike had previously starred opposite Pierce Brosnan in the 007 film 'Die Another Day,' where she played Miranda Frost. The former Bond Girl has made a name for herself when she took the lead role in the thriller 'Gone Girl.'

The latest James Bond film 'Spectre' will premiere on October 26.
