‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7: Bonnie Hooking Up With Damon? SPOILERS Of Ian Somerhalder’s Show After Nina Dobrev’s Departure!

Earlier this year, fans of the vampire genre were shocked to see that Nina Dobrev, who became a star playing Elena Gilbert in the Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley supernatural drama, would not be returning for the "Vampire Diaries" season 7 - and now, weeks before the new season's release date, details are finally beginning to unfold.

The "Vampire Diaries" season 7 won't premiere for another couple of weeks, on October 8, 2015, but the first details of the new course of the show are already out, with some of the cast members speaking out a little about what to expect from the first season without Dobrev's Elena.

Speaking to She Knows, Kat Graham (who plays witch Bonnie Bennett on the show) was asked what was in store for the characters on the "Vampire Diaries" season 7, with many fans longing for a "Bamon" meet-up.

"I don't even know," said Graham about the "Vampire Diaries" season 7. "I mean, Ian and I have campaigned to work together in so many interviews, and we've just been shut down. So we'll see what the writers come up with. But as of right now, nothing's happened."

According to Entertainment Weekly, there will be two different timelines on the "Vampire Diaries" season 7, them being present-day and then three years into the future, best known as the glimpse into a post-apocalyptic future that was seen at the very end of the past season.

The show has a new set of villains, too, called the Heretics: wampires, a deadly combination between witch and vampires, related to Lily who will apparently bring back memories of the family she left behind.

As Wet Paint reports, the season premiere is called "Day One of Twenty-Two Thousand, Give or Take," which is possibly a reference of the time Bonnie has left in his life before Elena wakes up, as their lives are now tied together.

Don't miss the "Vampire Diaries" season 7 premiere!
