Fair warning, if you have not seen 'Fear The Walking Dead' season 1's episode 4 entitled 'Not Fade Away,' then you should know that this contains tons of spoilers. Variety gave the full details of the episode and it was gripping. They described it as something like a scene that people have watched in 'The Day After.'
This episode finally revealed something new to the spin-off and it is none other than having an actual plot itself. The opening of the episode has already kind of set the tone for the entire show with its melodramatic music coming from Lou Reed's 'Perfect Day.'
The song about living a simple life but it is also a bit daunting as it ends with something that reminds you of karma. What goes around, comes around.
Nine days have passed after the military finally quarantined the entire East LA neighborhood to make it into a safe place again. They called it "DZ," a place where people could go back living their lives normally again. There were some rules that the military implemented that the people weren't so happy about like imposing the strict curfew for everyone.
Madison (played by Kim Dickens) was pretty upset and troubled since her place is now getting over-crowded. Chris (played Lorenzo James Henrie) also had this assumption that there could be survivors outside their neighborhood and he talked about this with Travis (played by Cliff Curtis) and Madison.
In this episode, Nick (played by Frank Dillane) turned out to have a huge drug problem. He was so addicted to the point that he would steal a dying patient's morphine drip.
But here is something to expect on the next episodes, executive producer David Erickson told THR that the people's struggle with the military wouldn't be too long. It is looking like there is definitely an end to their complains in dealing with the army.
