After the success of the first installment of the movie adaptation of the book, 'Fifty Shades of Grey,' a sequel is about to be produced. It is currently in the making and fans might have to wait for a while before it hits theaters. The sequel, like the second book, will be called 'Fifty Shades Darker.'
According to IB Times, there were rumors saying that it won't come out until the 10th of February 2017. But one of the main stars, Dakota Johnson (who playes Anastasia Steele), revealed on an interview with Ellen Degeneres that fans can expect the movie to come out earlier than that. The actress also stated that production will officially start this coming New Year.
The director of the first film, Sam Taylor-Johnson, won't be working on this new installment. The word on the street was that he had some creative differences with the author of the book, E.L. James. He didn't say much about it but nevertheless; he made a statement earlier this year wishing for the success of the next installment. She said, "While I will not be returning to direct the sequels, I wish nothing but success to whoever takes on the exciting challenges of films two and three."
The location was said to be in the same place the first movie was created and which is in British Columbia. James Foley was also being tapped to direct this new one.
MovieFone wrote what Johnson also revealed lately, while promoting another new film of hers, she spilled out that the third sequel to the movie would be on the 9th of February 2018 and it is going to be called, "Fifty Shades Freed." This is not the only thing the actress revealed during her interview with Ellen, but now everybody knows that she is single.
