Drake, Future Finally Announce Mixtape 'What A Time To Be Alive' - Album Cover From A Stock Image? [PHOTOS]

After several rumors and trolls, Drake finally confirmed that he, along with fellow rapper Future, have a mixtape.

While performing his set at Music Midtown Festival, Drake allegedly told the crowd: "take a break from 'Views' now it's back to that, and me and Future got a tape before that."

Complex further reports that Drake also added, "Sunday will be madness." But this was all before Drake officially confirmed that the mixtape entitled, "What A Time to Be Alive" would be released today at 8 EST.

Not only that, but Drake also confirmed the album artwork and album title on Instagram. But with all the good news, there seems to be a bit of a hiccup with "What A Time To Be Alive."

The album cover, which features a bunch of diamonds, have been compared to Jay Z and Kanye West's album artwork for "Watch the Throne," but that's not what's making it so controversial.

According to Complex, the album cover is indeed a stock photo from Shutterstock. The publication reports that the photo was first found on the blog of a company called Diamond Blend - a luxury anti-ageing beauty brand.

The photo is owned by Christina Tisi-Kramer, a New York City-based photographer, who currently teaches photography at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Originally shot for the Julius Klein Group - a company that rates the clarity and value of diamonds - the diamonds in the photo are "some of the finest in the world," as said by Christina Tisi-Kramer.

"It's one of my best selling images because of the nondescript luxury items that they are," Tisi-Kramer added.

Although Christina Tisi-Kramer doesn't listen to Drake or Future, she does admit the flattery she felt knowing that an artist used one of her images.

The photographer never knows where her photos are being used after selling them to stock agencies like Shutterstock. But she doesn't really mind, and hopes to get more work from it.

"Maybe [Drake and Future] will use me for something custom down the road," Tisi-Kramer tells the publication.
