'Captain America' Star Sebastian Stan Fires Back At Zack Snyder's Marvel Diss, Says 'Civil War' Isn't Trying To Mimic Christopher Nolan!

The stars of 'Captain America: Civil War' are certainly not letting the Marvel haters get away with anything. Just a few days after Paul Bettany suggested that 'Avengers' hater Jason Statham should get an "acting double," his costar Sebastian Stan has just taken a dig at Zack Snyder, who once said he wasn't impressed with 'Ant-Man.'

The director of 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' was previously asked by Daily Beast to comment about Steven Spielberg's statement about the death of superhero movies, but Zack Snyder ultimately made a zinger at a Marvel film by saying, "I feel like Batman and Superman are transcendent of superhero movies in a way, because they're Batman and Superman. They're not just, like, the flavour of the week Ant-Man - not to be mean, but whatever it is. What is the next Blank-Man?"

Sebastian Stan, who plays the Winter Soldier in 'Captain America: Civil War,' wasn't about to let Zack Snyder get away with it. In an interview with Collider, Stan was asked if 'Civil' War' would be different from the previous 'Captain America' movie, however the actor couldn't resist taking a swing at the 'Batman v Superman' director.

"Yeah, I'm sitting here and I'm listening to you and I'm thinking, 'Do I want to fire some shots at DC right now, at Zack Snyder?' I read some of those comments where he said something about 'Batman and Superman,' I can't remember where I read that, somewhere... Something about, 'It's not going to be your flavor-of-the-week Ant-Man.' And I was like, 'Oh thanks, Zack. That's great. Way to do something original,'" Stan said.

The 'Captain America: Civil War' star then continued with his response, which concluded with a burn.

"But I would say we're still making something very original in our own way," Stan said. "I mean, the Russos are coming in and taking something people are used to and they're shaping it up and changing it in a very different way. They're not trying to mimic a better Christopher Nolan movie or something like that."

Zack Snyder has yet to comment on Sebastian Stan's statement.

'Captain America: Civil War' will premiere on May 6, 2016.
