Taylor Swift had a special treat prepared for the Indianapolis stop of her 1989 World Tour last Wednesday, September 16. As part of her usual routine, the "Bad Blood" hit maker threw another surprise as she invited American country group The Band Perry to perform their hit song "If I Die Young."
Taylor Swift then shared a photo on her Instagram page about how fun the show was with the whole band. She captioned it, "Tonight in Indianapolis, @thebandperry surprised the crowd and everyone sang 'If I Die Young' SO LOUD'. Such a fun show!!"
The candid photo showed Tay-Tay with the band members Kimberly Perry, Neil Perry and Reid Perry, who were all holding their guitars and raising their hands as they fronted the crowd.
The Band Perry on the other hand, also sent their thank you message on their Instagram page as they posted an adorable 'groupfie' with the pop star. They captioned it, “Dear @taylorswift thank you for a magical night. Dear Indianapolis thank you for a magical sing along. We love you. #1989yourindy.”
On a separate Instagram account, Kimberly Perry added “Well yeah, that was like the most fun night ever. Love u @taylorswift.”
Besides 'The Band Perry', other big-named artists who had graced the stage with Taylor Swift during her previous 1989 shows include Ellen DeGeneres, Julia Roberts, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Lena Dunham, Fifth Harmony, Justin Timberlake, Little Mix, Mariska Hargitay and Hailee Steinfield.
While it may seem a question to everybody as to how she manages to bring some of the most talented artists on her show, Swift said to the crowd "I want to remind you that anyone you see on the 1989Tour, coming out to surprise the audience, they're doing it for free, out of the goodness of their heart, because they wanted to come play for you and surprise you."
Taylor Swift will be heading to her next show on September 21, Monday, which will take place at the Sprint Center situated in Kansas City, MO.
