The sixth season of 'Game of Thrones' is beginning to look like a family affair for Samwell Tarly!
It was previously announced that 'Harry Potter' star Freddie Stroma would play Sam's younger brother Dickon Tarly, and the news immediately led to speculations that the rest of the Tarlys will be making an appearance in Season Six. Just two weeks after the casting of Sam's younger brother, the rest of his family have been announced.
According to Watchers On The Wall, 'Downton Abbey' star James Faulkner has been cast as Sam's stern father Randyll Tarly. In addition to that, Samantha Spiro from 'M.I.T: Murder Investigation Team' will play the Tarly matriarch Melessa while theater actress Rebecca Benson will portray Samwell's sister Talla Tarly.

Although not much is known about the Tarly women, Randyll Tarly is a well-known character in the book series 'A Song of Ice and Fire' and is set to play a large role in a scene that is currently being shot in Girona!
[SPOILERS RIGHT AFTER THE JUMP]
In 'A Song of Ice and Fire,' Randyll Tarly joins with House Tyrell to support Renly Baratheon and even fought in the Battle of the Blackwater after Renly was killed. He captures Maidenpool and marries his son Dickon to the daughter of Lord William Mooton to secure his hold on the town before setting off to rescue Margaery Tyrell from the Faith.
It was recently reported that the release of Margaery Tyrell is being filmed at the Girona Cathedral, where Natalie Dormer has been spotted wearing a plain Sparrow dress. There are speculations that the Tarlys will be shooting in Spain this week, so there is a possibility that James Faulkner will be filming a scene with Dormer, Jonathan Pryce and Dean-Charles Chapman.
Now that we have a Randyll Tarly, who will Ian McShane play in 'Game of Thrones' Season Six?
When Ian McShane was first announced to join the 'Game of Thrones' cast, there were speculations that the 'Deadwood' star would portray either Euron Greyjoy or Randyll Tarly. Now that both roles have found an actor, McShane's character in Season Six could be anyone's guess.
