System Of A Down Stopped their Performance at Riot Fest To Help Save a Fan’s Life

Over the weekend at Riot Fest in Chicago, the Armenian-American rock band System Of A Down halted their performance mid-set, to give way for the paramedics to help save a fan's life who was allegedly treaded upon by the crowd.

Reportedly, during the set of System Of A Down, the aspiring pro wrestler Steve Schneider, nearly died after he was knocked to the ground and people trampled upon him.

As Steve Schneider concluded his death defying experience, he said that he was lucky that he got away alive.

Steve Schneider stated after the incident, "I fell over during the performance of System of a Down, then a person fell on top of me, this was followed by another one, and it continued on, I almost suffocate. Then once they got up, someone else fell on top of me. It was never ending. At one point I had someone on top of my back, and someone either sitting or standing on my head, pushing my face down into the dirt. I couldn't breathe the entire time, but then any breath I could take I was close to inhaling muddy water."

He further related this, "It was the terrifying thing in my entire life cause I had no idea how long I'd be cornered for. Apparently System of a Down had to end their performance so paramedics could get me out, I was inert at that time so I can't remember a thing. Both of my eyes are blood red from passing out due to lack of air, after someone crushing my head and luckily someone was screaming for my life."

The pro wrestling student at the PWX training school in Pittsburgh - Steve Schneider was at the Riot Fest with his pro wrestling friends like Lucha Underground's Son of Havoc - Matt Cross, Matt Knicks of Freelance Wrestling and iMpact Wrestling's Mark Andrews.

And Steve Schneider would like to personally thank System of a Down band for helping to save his life.
