Cindy Lauper’s Country Album for Release in 2016

Cyndi Lauper told the public that she will release her country album in 2016 and said that the LP is a lifelong ambition.

The 62 year old pop icon finally makes her dream come true as it has been a long time desire to record a country LP and it is finally becoming a concrete reality. She did the music work with Tony Brown and Seymour Stein for the collection of songs.

Cyndi Lauper's motivation in changing her genre is rooted in the realized inspiration that since she is getting older, she wants to sink her teeth in a musical cross over that has long been overdue.

Last Tuesday night September 15, 2015 at the Adelphi Theatre in London's West End, Cyndi spoke at the UK premiere of her musical "Kinky Boots" and told Bang Showbiz ''I don't know if you listen to country music but I want to work with Seymour Stein - he was the co-founder of Sire Records - and I've always wanted to work with him. So I figure while I've still got teeth in my mouth let me go work with him!"

''I also want to work with Tony Brown down in Nashville and do a country record, finally! I want to record all those songs I used to sing my guts out in my apartment to! It'll be out next year.''

Although Cyndi has changed her music genre she also still is updated and listens to the latest music and does this as much music as she can. She is also an avid fan of Paloma Faith.

Cyndi Lauper added, ''I like Paloma Faith, I think she's awesome. But I like a lot of different kinds of music, not just one kind. I like to research music.''

In the opening of "Kinky Boots" Cyndi Lauper joined by the musical director Jerry Mitchell, writer Harvey Fierstein and some stars including Jill Halfpenny, Gemma Outen, and Elaine Paige.

After the performance Cyndi Lauper, Jerry Mitchell and Harvey joined the stage and received bouquets of flowers, a standing ovation and joyful cheers from the audiences.
