The Jagged Little Pill album of the Canadian-American alternative rock singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year. And the Grammy Awards winner Morissette, will release a four-disc Collector's Edition of Alanis Morissette's groundbreaking album.
Few months to go for the iconic album to reach 20 years old, and Alanis Morissette has selected, organized and now presents a special collector's edition of he debut.
Morissette's album had sold more than 33 million copies globally and has been acknowledged as one of the best-selling albums of all time.
Included in the special edition, is a remastered audio of the original album. The disc also contains Alanis Morissette's 10 unreleased demos, plus a distinctive attribute of the 1995 Morissette's full live concert. Aside from the footage of the concert, it will also contain the 2005 release of Jagged Little Pill Acoustic.
Alanis Morisette has an unreleased song the "Superstar Wonderful Weirdos," she has included it this time to help promote the reissues. It's understandable why it did not fit with the Jagged Little Pill. Although it is pleasant with Morisette's vocals easily recognizable, the hokey harmonica solo doesn't simply jibe with Jagged Little Pill's abrasive tone.
The 'Ironic' hitmaker stated, "I'm super excited to share this music with a whole new generation of peeps, as well as people who have grown along with me over the last two decades," then Alanis added, "Thankfully, these songs have stood the test of time for me, and in their timelessness, I am thrilled to honor and reflect on them as well as the last twenty years of my life and care.
The music of Alanis Morissette has been labeled with many things, such as weird, intense and intimidating, however, the singer said that it is her desire to write songs with those labels to contend with - in a society that likes to reduce and categorize.
The collector's item of Alanis Morissette will be released on October 30.
