The trailer of the eleventh season of 'Supernatural' has finally been released, and it looks like Sam Winchester will be the brother who will suffer the most!
The official Youtube channel for The CW has just released the 'Supernatural' Season 11 trailer, which once again shows that Sam and Dean Winchester are in for a lot of trouble.
The trailer opens with the last scene from the season finale, where the Winchesters and their loyal Impala are engulfed by the Darkness. Things just get worse from there, as Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) finds himself all bloodied and bruised while Castiel (Misha Collins) attacks Crowley (Mark Sheppard). The clip turns into a montage of dead people, new characters and unspeakable torture as Sam prays to God.
Despite the darkness of the new trailer, Jared Padalecki told The Hollywood Reporter that the eleventh season of 'Supernatural' is actually all good for Sam and Dean Winchester.
"It's been a while since we've seen Sam and Dean in a good place, and this year they're going to be facing The Darkness together head-on, and I think the fans are really going to love that," Padalecki said.
Jensen Ackles, who plays Sam's brother Dean Winchester, agrees with his costar.
"It's fun for us to get to play the lighter side of their brotherly relationship after playing it so dark for a while," Ackles said.
The trailer doesn't offer any hints, but according to showrunner Jeremy Carver, there are some fan-favorites who will be popping up throughout the season.
"They're coming back in a surprising way," Carver said of the cameos.
So what exactly are Sam and Dean Winchester up against in Season 11? Jensen Ackles has previously confirmed that the Darkness is not like their other enemies.
"This one's interesting because it's not really a monster," Ackles said. "It's more of a primal force that we know nothing about. There's no lore; there's no guidebook; there's no instruction manual on how to deal with this."
'Supernatural' Season 11 will premiere on The CW on October 7.
