Reality shows are all over television. One of the more popular shows is A&E's "Duck Dynasty", starring the Robertson family.
The show is about their outdoorsmen business, "Duck Commander" and has seen a huge increase in popularity and profits due to their hit reality show.
However, that isn't quite enough, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Apparently the cast is now asking for a six-figure salary raise somewhere in the vicinity of $200,000 per episode.
According to the Reporter, they would also like an increase in each subsequent season.
Season three produced 8.6 million viewers in February and a 3.9 rating among adults 18-49. In that demographic, it is second only to AMC's extremely popular "Walking Dead", currently wrapping up its third season.
The salary demand is actually quite common.
The cast of MTV's "Jersey Shore" asked for a 200 percent pay increase after its' second season and beyond. While the cast of "Deadliest Catch" quit the show in 2010, only to rejoin later after salaries were raised.
A&E has not commented on the recent situation with their hit reality stars, but a source mentioned that the network does not "recoup" much of its' investment in the show.
"A&E owns no stake in the Robertsons' various branding efforts, their duck-call business or any of or their frequent speaking engagements at religious and business events, the latter of which alone have netted them tens of thousands of dollars," according to the Reporter.
However, another source for A&E seemed fairly positive about the situation.
"It will all get worked out."
