Although the next elections will take place in 2016, everyone seems to be more excited about 2020's election - after Kanye West announced his presidential bid at the 2015 MTV VMAs.
Talking to MTV News while supporting the Clinton Foundation's No Ceilings Project, Chelsea Clinton was asked about Kanye West's potential foray into the political world.
In a surprising turn of events, Chelsea wasn't completely against the idea:
"I definitely think who runs for office is really important. [...] Even if him just saying that helps spark a little boy or a little girl who was watching the VMAs to think, 'Oh wow! Maybe I should do that,' that's awesome."
But would Chelsea Clinton support Kanye West if he actually pushes through with his presidential campaign in 2020? "I think it depends on who he'd be running against," Chelsea Clinton added.
Although the answer wasn't a definite no, Chelsea would surely be voting against Kanye West if her mom, Hilary Clinton, decides to run for another term - if she wins the 2016 elections.
Kanye West first announced his presidential plans when during his 13-minute acceptance speech for the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2015 MTV VMAs:
"It's about idea bro, new ideas. People with ideas, people who believe in truth. And yes, as you could have guessed by this moment, I have decided, in 2020, to run for President."
Since Kanye West's announcement, many celebrities have jumped on the Kanye West for President bandwagon. E! News reports that no less than a week later, rapper Ice Cube has already shown support of the rapper.
Meanwhile, Rihanna would vote for Kanye West, noting: "I mean, people are voting for [Donald] Trump. [...] Who wouldn't vote for Kanye?!"
Not only that, but Kanye West has already found a running mate in the form of Taylor Swift.
