Why Would Hugh Jackman Seriously Consider to Play the Role of James Bond?

The Australian actor and producer best known for playing Wolverine in the X-Men films - Hugh Jackman, said that when the producers of the James Bond film series asked him to play the lead role, he replied back then, that he's not interested.

However, the Wolverine actor might be ready to retract his claws and grab some awesome gadgets for the fictional British Secret Service agent created in 1953 by Ian Fleming.

Hugh Jackman at the age of 46, stated that he still remains open to the idea of doing the iconic spy character., "At the time, I was just about to do X-Men 2, and I was like, 'Ah, I don't think it's the right time,' "

But now Hugh Jackman said  "I'd seriously consider it."

Considering that Hugh Jackman has got the time to pursue other roles, as Jackman's exit from the X-Men franchise is about to happen . Hugh Jackman's final Wolverine film is slated for a 2017 release.

 With the 007 contract of Daniel Craig  about to expire, fans and critics alike are talking about who would be the best choice to continue the James Bond movie franchise. And while Daniel Craig was in an interview with Esquire U.K., the Spectre actor was also talking about his life after James Bond.

Daniel Craig said, "At this moment, now. I have a life and I've got to get on with it a bit. But we'll see."

Aside from Hugh Jackman, other actors that have considered to play the role of James Bond are Idris Elba (who is best known for his role as a drug lord and aspiring businessman Russell "Stringer" Bell in the HBO series The Wire) and Tom Hardy - who made his feature film debut in the war film Black Hawk Down.

Nonetheless, according to U.K.'s the Daily Star - the former football player David Beckham was the latest name that came up to portray the role of the iconic agent 007. Where even the fans of the football star took to Twitter their excitement and anticipation over the possibility of David Beckham in the James Bond movie franchise.
