John Mayer and Katy Perry split for the second time. The couple dated for the past seven months. Today, People magazine reported the couple broke up. Last month, Katy Perry was seen wearing a ruby, which Mayer had given her.
People magazine stated that the couple began dating again in August, soon after Perry and Russell Brand divorced.
The break up could be linked to their busy schedules. Katy Perry has been busy recording her new album in Los Angeles, while Mayor is prepping for upcoming tour dates and a live Google Hangout chat this Thursday, March 21, US Magazine reported.
John Mayer's A Google Hangout can be viewed live stream on his YouTube channel. Fans can ask the singer questions. The singer will start touring on April 12th. His first performance is April 12, at the Crossroads Guitar Festival in New York. The tour ends at Rock In Rio in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
The couple appeared to be quite happy, Mayer recently visited Perry's hometown. In the past, John Mayer was romantically linked to many famous women including: Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Taylor Swift.

The break up is good publicity for John Mayer, because the singer released his latest video 12 days ago, and it does not even have 100,000 hits on YouTube. Perhaps, the singer is losing his popularity. After all, Mayer's dating life gets more media attention than his music.
Katy Perry does not seem to be stressing over the break up. As of right now, the singer has not posted the news or anything related to it onto her Twitter account.
