Sources are saying the young star, is breaking her "clean" image, by appearing in this provocative film. Gomez does not have any regrets; in fact the actress told E! News, her mother was her biggest supporter, and wanted her to take the role.

The film's official trailer shows the group of young girls on a bed. It appears as if they just did something terrible. One of the girls asks, "Where is the money?" This leads to the girls complaining because they want to see something different, but they need money to do so. The trailer shows a significant amount of violence and partying. It also shows the young girls singing to Britney Spears.

Spring Breaker should help Selena Gomez shed her wholesome image. Vanessa Hudgens, another former Disney star is also in the new thriller. Hudgens lost her "clean" image when racy photographs of her leaked on the internet. However, the photographs did not destroy her career. The actress has been in many films including: Beastly, Sucker Punch, and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

Ashley Benson, Pretty Little Liars star is also attached to the upcoming thriller. Ashley Benson told Hollywood Life, popular entertainment source, "The party scenes were pretty insane, girls were getting completely naked like about to have sex or something and were just witnessing it." Benson was referring to the extras the production hired for the film. The actress also told Hollywood Life, "I get along great with Vanessa and Selena, they became like my sisters, we went shopping, we always went out to eat."
