"Bad Blood" singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, posted on Instagram a photo of her standing next to a huge flower arrangement she received from her new bff, rapper Kanye West. The caption reads: "Awwww Kanye sent me the coolest flowers!! #KanTay2020 #BFFs." The said post earned over 2 million likes and 34k comments from her followers.
In the image, Taylor appeared to be au naturelle, without her scarlet lips and signature sleek black cat eye. She even joked in her "#KanTay2020" that she would be West's running mate for 2020 presidential election. This is in reference to Kanye's ending line of his acceptance speech in the VMA's: "I have decided in 2020 to run for President."
The huge flower arrangement looked like a miniature of Kanye's gift of 20ft wall of flowers to his wife Kim Kardashian that was seen in their Florence, Italy during their wedding in 2014.
Kanye West seemed serious to be going out of his way to make amends to Taylor Swift and reconcile their differences. The rift between the two started when Kanye interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for the Video of the Year Award in MTV Video Music Awards (VMA's) in 2009, interjecting that his friend Beyonce deserves the award more than the young Taylor Swift. After the incident, they were seen sharing a light moment in the 57th Annual Grammy Awards in STAPLES Center, L.A last February.
At this year's VMA, however Taylor Swift's introductory speech before she hands over Kanye West the Micheal Jackson Video Vanguard Award for Lifetime Achievement, she began by saying the six year old, infamous line of Kanye to interrupt her: "I'm really happy for you and Imma let you finish, but Kanye had one of the greatest careers of all time." Following these words: "I first met Kanye West six years ago at this show, actually."
