Miranda Lambert is using the power of music to express her feelings about her recent split from Blake Shelton.
At the 2015 ACM Honors on Tuesday, Lambert was all dressed in pink while singing Loretta Lynn's 1972 divorce song "Rated X."
The song's lyrics went, "Well if you've been a married woman / and things didn't seem to work out / Divorce is the key to bein' loose and free / So you're gonna be talked about."
"She sang songs that were not necessarily appropriate to sing at times, like this for me," Lambert told the audience, according to E!, "So, I'm so thankful for women empowerment."
After Lambert performed on stage, she posted on her Instagram a video of her along with friends covering Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood' for a "glam jam."
This is not the first time Miranda performed on stage and expressed woes about the divorce . During her WE Fest 2015 performance, she got emotional and mentioned the split as well.
She was quoted, "I wish I've been drinking all day, I deserve it. I just got divorced."
The estranged couple announced their split in July. After four years of being together Lambert and Shelton confirmed they are divorcing with an undisclosed reason. Since the news broke out, both remained silent but seems to be making use of their music as a means to cope with the difficult situation they are in.
Last week Miranda shared to her fans that she is currently writing lyrics, she wrote to her Instagram, "Food for thought! Late night writing session was a success! (I won't show the after pic!) Love yall @nicatnitemusic and @wruckestrike #newsongs #musicismedicine #platinum #Automatic."
As for Shelton, who is also recovering from the split, making music as a therapy, he wrote to his Twitter, "Wrote a song so important to me I can't believe it.. Thank you Jon Randall and @JessiLAlexander"
