Album Review: The Weeknd's Second Studio Album 'Beauty Behind the Madness'

Looking at a 4-year career in the music industry, The Weeknd's Albel Tesfaye has had more stories than other artists. The Canadian-native, who was known by his first mix tapes back in 2011, has just dropped his second album "Beauty Behind the Madness" on Friday, August 28, which is basically an album of his acceptance to real stardom.

In his first mix tapes four years ago, The Weeknd was just a faceless voice, a young growing man behind his raw music. But not until he first performed his five live performances during the summer of 2011, where the people finally saw the man behind their favorite music.

Since starting in the industry, The Weeknd was able to compile two additional mix tapes, multiple features in other albums and music videos, several tours, co-signing with some of the industry's biggest artists, and now a launching of his studio album number two 'Beauty Behind the Madness'.

While there have been issues about Abel Tesfaye's way of dealing with fame as he moved closer to a bigger audience, he did not deny the fact that four years has really brought so much change to him and his music.

Reports say that the music beats of this new album were temperamental and its lyrics were unrestricted. Adding to the album details, the theme is extremely showy and looks like the words were intentionally written for a larger scope of listeners.

In the row of tracks included in the album, The Weeknd has openly talked about his mistakes in the past and how he balances his own real world vs. being the superstar that his fans want him to be.

At the bottom of his 65-minute album 'Beauty Behind the Madness', everyone will see how different he was four years ago and how far he has gone from there.

The Weeknd's 'Beauty Behind the Madness' is a sequel of his first album 'Kiss the Land' in 2013. Besides doing several interviews for the promotion of his album, two of his latest singles "The Hills' and 'Can't Feel My Face' which debuted in late May, are currently reigning in the Billboard 200.

The album also features guest appearances from Kanye West, Ed Sheeran, Lana Del Rey, Labrinth and Maty Noyes.
