Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert recently announced their split with an undisclosed reason for the divorce. Although it's unclear what went wrong, the estranged couple seems to be doing okay with the help of their music.
A few days ago, Lambert took to her Instagram writing, "Food for thought! Late night writing session was a success! (I won't show the after pic!) Love yall @nicatnitemusic and @wruckestrike #newsongs #musicismedicine #platinum #Automatic."
Nicolle Galyon and Natalie Hemby, who are longtime friends of Miranda were said to be accompanying her for the songwriting session, according to Wide Open Country.
As for Shelton, who reportedly refused to date Adam Levine's former flames, he tweeted "Wrote a song so important to me I can't believe it.. Thank you Jon Randall and @JessiLAlexander"
After the split was made public, Chris Young's name was dragged into the divorce, suggesting that he and Lambert had an affair which caused the couple's split, which he strongly denied.
Young told Entertainment Tonight, "Man it sucks that I got put in this situation with two people who are my friends. It's just so weird getting pulled into something like that where it just wasn't true."
Miranda and Blake were last seen at the same place at the WE Fest 2015, earlier this month where they both sang their own sets. Blake ended the night without mentioning the split, while Miranda got emotional and mentioned the divorce.
"I wish I've been drinking all day, I deserve it. I just got divorced," she remarked.
Shelton and Miranda announced their split in July, through a statement saying, "This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
