Author Of 'Your Erroneous Zones' Wayne Dyer Dead At 75: Ellen DeGeneres Leads At Tribute

Ellen DeGeneres has led the tributes on twitter for self- help guru Wayne Dyer.

Motivational speaker and author Wayne Dyer has died at the age of 75, his family confirmed the news in Sunday through Facebook with an undisclosed cause of death.

They wrote, "Wayne has left his body, passing away through the night. He always said he couldn't wait for this next adventure to begin and had no fear of dying. Our hearts are broken, but we smile to think of how much our scurvy elephant will enjoy the other side. We Love You Forever Dad/Wayne."

On her Twitter, DeGeneres shared a photo of her wedding day with Portia De Rossi, which was officiated by Dyer.

The talk show host wrote, "The world has lost an incredible man. Wayne Dyer officiated our wedding & was an inspiration to so many. Sending love."

De Rossi also tweeted, "Wayne will be greatly missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him but his teachings will live on forever."

Fellow motivational speaker Tony Robbins also mourned  Dyer's death, he wrote, "4 those of us who loved him it's sad, but he knew death was a transition. We send love 4his next adventure."  

Dyer is an inspirational speaker and an author of 40 books, including 20 New York Times bestsellers. His first book 'Your Erroneous Zones,' was written in 1976 and is one of the best-selling books of all time with an estimated 35 million copies sold. He also has 10 PBS Specials that raised over $250 million for public television.

Dyer turned towards spiritual teaching, he once quoted, "My purpose is to help people look at themselves and begin to shift their concepts. Remember, we are not our country, our race, or religion."

"We are eternal spirits. Seeing ourselves as spiritual beings without label is a way to transform the world and reach a sacred place for all of humanity."
