Talk about love for pizza. Because of their affinity for the snack, the brand "Evrything Pizza" has started a Kickstarter campaign to get their new invention into ladies' drawers. The hopeful brand has just created the Pizza Panties, "the ultimate gift item for female pizza lovers", according to the brand.
According to Food Beast, the Pizza Panties project began with a slice of pizza and a dream. Inventor and innovator Phil Gonzalez has just created several semi-useful items such as Stopped Up, a wine bottle stopper. Gonzalez then thought of creating something semi-useful involving a pizza slice.
After several designs that didn't work, Phil thought of lingerie after he saw that the shape of a pizza slice is similar to the shape of underwear.
Pizza Panties' funding goal is $15,000. It currently has 91 backers, with $2,695 pledged and 24 days to go, according to Evrything Pizza's Pizza Panties Kickstarter page.
For $10 backers, the brand will send a couple of the pizza-designed thongs. However, for backers donating $20 or more, the brand will not only send the Pizza Panties, but they will send them inside their own stylish pizza box.
The current price though is reportedly only for a limited time, and only for Kickstarter. Later, the brand said the retail price will go up.
Because people come in different sizes, the brand said this is one technicality that drastically changed their funding goal, as they had to go about changing their graphic to fit each size. Pizza Panties only come in three sizes for now - Small, Medium and Large - because their print design is what's technically called a "position print" and so they can price their Kickstarter as low as possible. The brand still has high hopes and is highly likely to create a wide variety of sizes if funded.

Lining: 95% cotton, 5% elastane.
Waist: 62% nylon, 29% polyester, 9% spandex.
There's no need to worry about the quality of the material of the Pizza Panties. The brand has teamed up with a leading manufacturer of fashion garments who has had projects with brands like Billabong, Dickies and even Happy Socks.
If Pizza Panties gets funded, their target shipping date is September 21.
