Donald Trump within 6 Points of Hillary Clinton According To Latest Polls

It looks like there is no stopping Donald Trump's campaign. The real estate tycoon turned Republican presidential hopeful continues to perform well in the polls, pulling within 6 points of Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton in the latest edition of the CNN/ORC poll.

The data shows that Trump has gained serious ground on Clinton since July. Last month's poll had Trump 16 points behind the former Secretary of State. She is still the odds-on favorite to succeed Barack Obama in the White House with a 44% favorable rating.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker also trails Clinton by 6 points. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (9 points behind) and former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina (10 points behind) round out the top 5.

The closest Democratic challengers to Clinton are Vermont Gov. Bernie Sanders, who climbed 10 points and is now at 29%, and current Vice President Joe Biden at 14%.

Despite Trump's strong performance in the polls, many are skeptical that he can retain his chances to really secure the Republican nomination.

The New York Times' Nate Cohn published an extensive piece detailing how the polls might be overstating Trump's support within the Republican fateful.

The former Apprentice host has also done himself no favors with his recent actions against women. He has drawn the ire of many after feuding with Fox News reporter Megyn Kelly and making offensive remarks towards supermodel Heidi Klum.

Fox News chairman Roger Ailes slammed Trump for his treatment of Kelly. At the first republican presidential debate a few weeks ago, Trump told CNN that Kelly's menstrual cycle may have been the cause of her aggressive questioning during the event.

His spat with Klum began when he told The New York Times last week that the 42 year old model was 'no longer a 10.' Klum has since responded with a clever social media jab and brushed off the incident.
