Justin Bieber lookalike, Tobias Strebel, who was reported missing earlier this week, was found dead in a Motel 6 room situated in North Hills, California, according to reports.
The Los Angeles Coroner's Office said that Tobias Strebel died on August 21, Friday, at around 5pm. He was 35.
Reports say that following Strebel's death, an autopsy was immediately conducted on Wednesday, August 26. While the investigation is still ongoing, the results of the autopsy are still pending and the real cause of his death is not yet determined.
The Justin Bieber impersonator, who was last seen in West Hollywood earlier last week, had reportedly spent $100,000 for plastic surgery to look like Justin Bieber.
Mel Espinoza, Strebel's close friend, said in a statement that it is 'very unusual' for his friend to go missing. He added, "He hasn't done any, not shown up for no reason, no note or anything."
Strebel first appeared in a music video released by GR Media back in May 2014 and became known as a member of the trio "The Plastics", where he named himself in the music video as the "Justin no. 2".
In the music video, Strebel sang his personally written lyrics talking about his admiration for the Canadian singer.
"A Bieber from day one, couldn't take what age had done, watched Justin's videos, imitated how he posted / Jealous of his perfect face, wished I could take his place. Docs made my dream come true now I'm Justin no. 2."
He was previewed in one episode aired on E! Network's "Botched" series and had openly talked about why he wanted to look exactly like Bieber.
"What brought me to Bieber was the whole package: the full cheeks, the full temples, the bright open eyes, the full luscious lips, and spatial framing, he's just extraordinarily beautiful," Strebel said.
After initially appearing as the Bieber-wannabe on TV, Tobias Strebel also appeared on other shows including the 'Bethenny' and 'The Doctors. Strebel had also once shared that he was a musician before Bieber and had always wished to be a professional singer.
