A man who spent $100,000 to impersonate Justin Bieber has been reportedly missing for almost one week already, reports say.
The Bieber lookalike whose real name is Tobias Strebel, 35, was last seen at N. Orange Grove Avenue situated in West Hollywood on Tuesday, August 18, according to a statement released by his close friend, Mel Espinoza.
"This is very unusual for him to be missing," Espinoza said. "He hasn't done any, not shown up for no reason, no note or anything."
Reports added that upon hearing the news that Strebel has been missing for days, the officials from the Los Angeles Police Department didn't respond immediately to the requests asking for any updates about Strebel on Monday.
The Bieber wannabe became viral on social media after he revealed that he went through plastic surgery costing $100,000 in his effort to copy the 21-year old Canadian superstar.
In one episode previewed at E! Network's "Botched" series, he revealed why he wanted to look exactly like Justin Bieber.
"What brought me to Bieber was the whole package: the full cheeks, the full temples, the bright open eyes, the full luscious lips, and spatial framing, [he's] just extraordinarily beautiful," he said.
Back in May 2014, a music video was released by GR Media, an entertainment company that specializes celebrity management and public relations. From there, Strebel was first recognized as a member of the trio "The Plastics" and he named himself as 'Justin no.2' in the music video.
He sang in the video with his personally written lyrics, "A Bieber from day one, couldn't take what age had done, watched Justin's videos, imitated how he posted."
He went on singing, "Jealous of his perfect face, wished I could take his place. Docs made my dream come true, now I'm Justin no. 2."
As for the investigation, the Los Angeles Department is encouraging anyone with information about Tobias Strebel to contact them immediately.
