Taylor Swift Turns Down $2 Million Wedding Gig Offer To Perform For Free At A Christening

Taylor Swift reportedly rejected a $2 Million offer to sing three songs at a billionaire's wedding and headed instead to a christening party where she sang for free.

The 'Bad Blood' singer was allegedly offered by the tycoon, a million dollar for each song she sings along with the deal, that she simply spends some 30 minutes mingling with the newly weds and their guests.

But instead of accepting the offer, according to the Sunday Express, Taylor headed instead to the Los Angeles home of her close friend, model and actress Jaime King, where she sang for free in the christening celebration of the actress' second son,Leo, born a month ago.

One of the guest said, "Taylor arrived with her own music backing tracks and belted out some of her biggest hits, including Love Story, I Knew You Were Trouble and Red."

"She even rocked little Leo in her arms and hummed a lullaby to him. But he started screaming almost immediately, so she sheepishly handed him back to his mom," the guest added.

Jamie as well as her husband, Hollywood screenwriter and director Kyle Newman, are said to be "deliriously happy" about Taylor's "sweet gesture" of serenading their second child.

The guest praised Taylor for choosing friendship over the million dollar offer.

"You have to admire her for putting friendship ahead of financial considerations. The guest further commented, "She said no to a small fortune so she could bring happiness to a good friend."

Taylor arrived at the event with her Scottish DJ boyfriend, Calvin Harris. The music artist reportedly got emotional and told Jaime "how lucky she was to have such a wonderful family."

Taylor and Calvin might be the next happy couple throwing a christening party soon, for it has been reported that the couple were looking at a substantial property in Los Angeles where they can "put down roots" the friend said.
