Kylie Jenner likes to switch up her hairstyles and she took to Snapchat on August 11 to unveil her latest style: cornrows with blonde strands weaved throughout.
She changes hairstyles almost as much as she changes her clothes, but Kylie has returned to her most criticized look. The reality star, who turned 18 just a few days ago, revealed she had ditched her wigs and usual free flowing long hair for cornrows.
In the SnapChat video, Kylie snuggles up to pal Pia Mia in bed with her hair braided tightly against her head with blonde strands infused.
Kylie's friend Anastasia Karanikolaou also posted a photo of Kylie's recent look on Instagram, Kylie's new look can be seen more clearly this time. In the picture, Kylie Jenner has her head turned to the side to better show off her cornrows.
Kylie Jenner received backlash the first time she posted a photo of her hair in cornrow braids on Instagram a month ago. 'Hunger Games' star Amandla Stenberg called Kylie out in the comments section for cultural appropriation, and Kylie reportedly responded, though the comments have since been deleted.
Amandla's comment to Kylie's first cornrows post read: "When u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism#whitegirlsdoitbetter."
Kylie responded, "Mad if I don't. Mad if I do...Go hang w Jaden or something."
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was referring to the fact that Amandla went to prom with Jaden Smith in May.
Despite the backlash, Kylie obviously did not want the previous negative reactions stand in the way of her getting cornrows again.
Kylie is known for her hairstyles and usually turns to wigs and extensions to change up her look.
On Sunday night as she celebrated her 18th birthday, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wore a blonde wig with very dark roots.
To mark her big birthday, the star posted a photoshoot on her Instagram in which she had orange and blue hair.
