You Will Not Believe What Food Shows Really Do With Their Food, The Secret Is Out From Inedible Food To Cluless Chefs

A revelation from Reddit asking people who have experienced working for food shows will shock people because of how strange they are. It has always been a wonder for most, as to what really goes behind a cooking show and how they deal with food. Now everyone will have answers to that.

Fox news recently reported that the responses of people who answered that post on Reddit would leave jaws dropping probably twice. One of the users named 'Elroypaisley' revealed for someone who worked on a daytime show with cooking segments involved, a food stylist was actually hired to do all the work that is not seen by the audience. She said, "Most of the food is either A) not edible (under cooked chicken, just browned on the outside to look good for camera or sprayed with shining spray to make it look glossy) or B) Eaten by the crew."

She continued by saying that most of the chefs arrive clueless and they have no idea of what they have to do with their recipe. They are prepared at all when it comes to what they will cook. The food stylist's job is to be on the show a couple of hours before they tape the segment. They are also the ones who are up all night thinking of ways how to make those foods beautiful on camera. The ones that people see on camera are called the "beauty dishes." They are only for the camera shots but they are not at all edible. The stylist is also responsible for laying out all the ingredients, so they all look good on camera.

The Reddit user ended it by saying, "The chef arrives, does hair/makeup and comes to set where the stylist briefs them. 'Chef, today you're making such and such. These are the ingredients for the reduction sauce, etc'. The chef goes over the recipe a few times, then we go live and they are the expert."
