[WATCH] Meryl Streep Do An Impressive Cover Of Lady Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance’

Meryl Streep did a cover of Lady Gaga's hit song, "Bad Romance" and it was spectacular!

If you're wondering what prompted Meryl Streep to do a "Bad Romance" cover, well, it has something to do with her new film, "Ricki And The Flash."

The movie just released its official soundtrack last week, and the Lady Gaga "Bad Romance" cover is "obviously the best" from the lot, as described by New Now Next.

But that's not all: the soundtrack features Meryl Streep doing a number of covers. Expect to hear her own rendition of Tom Petty's "American Girl," Pink's "Get This Party Started" and even Bruce Springsteen's "My Love Will Not Let You Down."

Rest assured, all the songs were performed by Meryl Streep herself! In fact, they were even recorded in front of a live audience. Not only that, but Meryl Streep even practiced playing the guitar for six months, just for her role as Ricki Rendazzo.

"Ricki And The Flash" director Jonathan Demme told Entertainment Weekly back in April: "We didn't use playback. We're not sweetening it up on the soundtrack. It's performance!"

"I have to say with our band - I shouldn't say it - but I want to say what I feel in my heart - 'Ricki And The Flash' blow away every original," Demme added.

"Ricki And The Flash" was released in movie theatres on August 7th. Meryl Streep stars in the film alongside her real-life daughter Mamie Gummer, Rick Springfield, Kevin Kline, and Audra McDonald.

If "Ricki And The Flash" isn't enough of a Meryl Streep sing-a-long for you, then you can surely watch out for the Broadway musical of "The Devil Wears Prada."
