'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Kim Richards Shoplifting Arrest Details Emerge

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards reportedly stole over $600 in merchandise from a Target store in Van Nuys, California, earlier this month, and on August 10, details regarding what she allegedly took have been revealed.

And according to the incident report, which TMZ published on Monday, the former Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star had tried stealing two carts full of goods prior to her arrest.

She was spotted grabbing reusable bags at the location, and filling them with merchandise in the dollar section, before heading to the express line and leaving without attempting to check out, according to the report.

The website reported that she had told the store clerk the merchandise had already been paid for. It was noted that the former 'Real Housewives' star stole “animal crackers and color books,” among other things.

Last week, two days after the former Real Housewives star’s arrest, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office offered the following statement to Page Six.

“Richards was caught by store security attempting to take more than 100 items valued at approximately $612. They were in the shopping cart and she was not concealing them. She just rolled out.”

In addition, the statement claimed the former Real Housewives star was not known to be “under the influence” at the time of her arrest, “although toxicology is not generally done with shoplifting cases.”

As previously reported, Richards is said to have been living in her car at the time of her Aug. 2 arrest. Following her exit from rehab in June, she reportedly stayed with several friends before wearing out her welcome and moving into the vehicle.

At the time, TMZ reported that she had been "self-medicating," though it was not clear what substance she was believed to be under the influence of.

On Saturday, Us Weekly reported that Kim had been checked into an undisclosed hospital by family members to receive help after the arrest.

"Her family checked her in," one source told the publication. "She wants to get out ASAP, but her family refuses."

Kim's current troubles come just months after her April arrest for getting into a drunken confrontation with police at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
